the starting gate

This is the first post on the small gallery blogspot. Let me tell you about the gallery. It sits in Capuchin Yard, off Church Street in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter of Hereford. In the yard there's a vegetarian cafe, Nutters, a bead shop: Beads in Abundance; Manic Ceramics and a patchwork and fabric shop. We have a pet robin, blackbird and sparrow who visit us every day as this is a cat free zone.

In the gallery at the moment our summer yarns are: Green Mountain Spinnery Coton Comfort; Rosario's so soft Bio Bamboo; Rowan's Organic Cotton; Sari Silk. Silk Milk Latte; Nettle and Hemp yarns. We are open Wednesday to Saturday 10 - 4.30 and we welcome all knitters and artists who like to squeeze, touch and sniff the yarns. There's lots of other stuff as well. I will be putting up photos later this week and let you know who's knitting what......... Do you like our knitting logo?

This Tuesday is Stitch and Bitch night at the Green Cafe 6 - 9 pm all welcome; no charge just lots of delivcious drinks and food.
